About park

Bayanaul National Nature Park — the first national park in Kazakhstan, created on August 12, 1985. Located in the south of Pavlodar region, 100 km from the city of Ekibastuz.

The total area of the park is 68,452.8 hectares. The area includes picturesque mountains with elevations ranging from 400 to 1027 meters (Mount Akbet),four large freshwater lakes—Sabyndykol, Zhasybay, Toraygyr, and Birzhankol.

The park was created to preserve unique flora and fauna, including more than 460 plant species, approximately 50 bird species, and 40 mammal species.
